Citizenship Preparation

U.S. Citizenship preparation classes are ideal for students who have applied, or are preparing to apply, for the U.S. Naturalization exam. Students prepare for the exam with information related to American history, civics, and the English language. Before registering, students are encouraged to review the citizenship application process with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

Citizenship tutors will review the N-400 application in class, but will not provide direct legal advice to students.

Any student registering for citizenship classes must be able to attend one of the schedules listed above.

Citizenship classes are taught only in English. Students must be proficient English speakers and readers before beginning citizenship classes. Sometimes, ESL assessments may be administered during registration. Click here to learn more about these assessments.
